I’m Craig Marks, the proud owner and lead trainer of T-3 Health and Fitness. I’m here to be your guide to greater health and fitness for life; here to help you transform your body and mind.
I grew up living the fitness lifestyle. Since the ripe age of 8, I was playing football and baseball, and ran track and field. I also enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing and motocross. However, my favorite sport was always wrestling and the discipline and drive I put into it earned a scholarship for me at University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. During my junior year at the University of Tennessee, while getting ready for Olympic trials, I suffered two fractures in my cervical spine during wrestling practice. I didn’t realize the severity of the injury for several days. This injury shook me and my team up; causing emergency neck surgery and ending my dreams of Olympic success. What could I do after that? Well, I went on to recover and win some open division wrestling tournaments. I also have become active in South Florida as a wrestling coach and consultant, and a trainer who enjoys doing things differently.
When I did recover from the neck injury, I became interested in Health Sciences. I finished my studies and became a licensed physical therapist, certified athletic trainer and certified personal trainer. Since 1990, I’ve been lucky enough to have helped hundreds of peoples achieve and exceed their health and fitness goals. I’ve witness many amazing health, body and mind transformations with my clients. I teach and learn every day.
I have been an ACE and NPTI certified personal trainer, certified athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist since 1988 and am proud of all my former and current client’s accomplishments. I’ve personally witnessed countless people transform their minds and bodies through my unique and often non-conventional training methods.
As a licensed physical therapist since 1989, I pride myself on my prevention of most common training injuries and I am qualified to assess and treat the injuries that have resulted from clients having come over from other less than stellar situations. I’m an expert at sledgehammer, plexiglass and abdominal workouts along with my highly popular “1000” high intensity workout (guaranteed to burn over 1000 calories in 60 minutes). Additionally, 17 years ago, I developed my nationally and internationally recognized Kinesio-Arts Training Program ® for people who have Parkinson’s Disease or other neurological illnesses. This program is featured on the Michael J Fox Foundation web site along with numerous other national and international media outlets. I have become a Parkinson’s expert and have been involved in many events to raise funds and awareness for research and to honor my father who lived with Parkinson’s for several years.
Once you enter my training studio, you never know what lies in store for you. And that………. is a very good thing!
